Our Story
Here at Fast Straw we have found that one of the biggest dilemmas runners face while training for and competing in endurance sports is maintaining their hydration level.
During races, runners somehow have to balance consuming water or other drinks while keeping their pace and momentum. The difficulties in drinking from a cup while running were self-evident: More liquid ended up on the runner's clothing than in their body.
The Major races like Boston, Chicago, New York do not allow hydration packs. Even if races do, it is not ideal to run a marathon and carry all that you wish to drink on your back. Handheld water bottles are great until they run empty and then you have to choose whether to carry an empty water bottle or throw it away.
No matter how prepared you are for a race, no matter how many miles you have put on your legs, if you get dehydrated on the course it’s all but over. So after a mediocre showing on the biggest marathon Stage, the idea of Fast straw was born.
Our simple device that holds onto your wrist and is easy to remove and use at any race pace. Fast Straw allows you to drink as much water as needed with minimal spillage. Here at Fast Straw we are dedicated to removing the inevitable wall that all runners hit. And teaching people that there is a better way to hydrate.
